TEACHING SUNDAY SCHOOL

Job Description: Preparing and teaching a lesson every other week from 4:45-5:30 (5:00-5:30 in the Orange Tag class) Seeking to partner with parents to help them use the materials at Home. Building relationships with the children and their families to be a springboard for teaching the children.

LEADING CHILDREN'S CHURCH

Children's Church Leader Job Description:
Once a month… Supervise childcare helpers on Sunday from 3:30 to 4:45. Oversee the content area and partner with a music leader to facilitate worship in children's church from 4:15-4:45.

Children's Church Worship Leader Job Description:
Partnering with children's church leader to facilitate worship once a month for a specific age group. Involves participation in children's church from 4:15-4:45.

Specific Age-Groups

PreK/Kindergarten Sunshine Group ( 4-5 year olds):
Involves arriving at 3:30, meeting childcare volunteers, helping children with nametags as they arrive at 3:45, supervising playground time until 4:15, leading a content area of children's church for 15 minutes and helping children transition to Sunday school at 4:45.

Preschool Rainbow Group (3-4 year olds):
Involves arriving at 3:30, meeting childcare volunteers, helping children with nametags as they arrive at 3:45, supervising playground time until 4:15, leading a content area of children's church for 15 minutes and helping children transition to Sunday school at 4:45.

First-Second Grade:
Involves arriving at 3:30, meeting childcare volunteers, sitting with children in the sanctuary and escorting them across the street when dismissed, leading a content area of children's church for 15 minutes and helping children transition to Sunday school at 4:45.

Third-Fourth Grade:
Involves arriving at 3:30, meeting childcare volunteers, sitting with children in the sanctuary and escorting them to their meeting place, leading a content area of children's church for 15 minutes and helping children transition to Sunday school at 4:45.

CHILDREN'S MINISTRIES SUPPORT SYSTEM

CHILDCARE SUPERVISORS:
Once a month commitment to oversee homegroup childcare people in the areas of the nursery, toddlers or Orange tag children. Time allotment is from 3:30-5:30 once a month for the 4 o'clock service or from 5:30-7:30 once a month at the six o'clock service.

INFORMATION TABLE STAFF:
Once a month commitment to provide information for visitors regarding childcare locations and registration.

SUNDAY SCHOOL SUMMER TEACHERS:
Teach 6 sessions of Sunday school between June and August in partnership with another teacher. Allows teachers who are following their pupils throughout the elementary years to have a summer break.

SUNDAY SCHOOL TEACHERAIDES:
From September to June, partnering with a specific teacher by helping out in the classroom every other week from 4:45-5:30. Requires no teaching or preparation.

SUPPLY COORDINATOR:
Oversee the supplies needed for each curriculum and make sure they are available for use. Time commitment is at the quarter breaks for the curriculum (June, Sept, December, and March).

SNACK SUPPLIER:
Stock snacks and water bottles needed for use in the Preschool and K-2 Sunday school classes (as needed basis).

PROMOTION SUNDAY SUPPORT (Lots J needed):
Variety of jobs in June helping transition the students to the next grade (new nametags, class signs, curriculum distribution, etc.)

SPECIAL EVENT SUPPORT:
There are several special events during the year that need one time assistance (Easter childcare, Advent, two Sundays in Dec. when there is no Sunday school.
