Papua New Guinea
New Tribes Mission
David & Shari Ogg have been missionaries to the Simbari people of Papua New Guinea since 1991. They have 4 children who all love the Lord. Three of them are now grown and living in the USA, two of which are currently in training to become missionaries themselves. The youngest, Jason, still lives with his parents in PNG and has a desire to one day be involved in music ministry.
What We Do
David and Shari are tribal church planters serving in order that the “men and women of Jesus” of the Simbari church can become mature in their faith. They are involved in Bible translation and teaching in the heart language of the Simbari people. In addition to translating Bible and literacy materials they are equipping Simbari leaders to takeover the leadership of the Simbari church. They are hoping to finish the translation the New Testament in the Simbari language in the not too distant future.
