More Opportunities & Info
“What Is Our Salvation For?” Series – Each Sunday: SBCC is hosting a 7-week discipleship series exploring this question on Sundays. We are using a series of short films that explore the challenge of being “in the world, but not of it.” As Christians, we hear that fairly often, but what does it really mean? The For The Life of the World series digs into that question: it’s an exploration of Faith and Culture—of how we live as “salt and light” in an imperfect world. The series is thought-provoking, beautiful, and a lot of fun—unlike anything you’ve seen before. When: Sundays, 8:45–10:15am in the Community Room. You don’t have to attend every one. All are welcome. Questions? Contact Dan Walker (*protected email*).
Providence Presents – Oct. 17th: Come at 6:30pm to Christ Presbyterian Church, 36 E. Victoria Street for a panel discussion about College Admission: Demystifying the Process–Making sense of what can be confusing & stressful. Topics will include: When should I be doing what to ensure I am on top of the application process?; How do I prepare for a college visit?; How many times should I take the SAT or ACT–which test is right for me?; FASFA forms and scholarship applications: the inside scoop. Participants will leave with a sense of peace over the process and leave with both valuable information and helpful resources.
Wednesday Morning Prayer – Oct. 18th: This is the beginning of our 17th year praying together as a church at 6:45am. Make plans now to be a part of this wonderful work each week this Fall.
