August Special Offering for the Poor – Aug. 20th & 27th: On the final 2 Sundays of August (20th and 27th), SBCC will have the opportunity to give over and above our regular giving in order to further the work of those addressing the needs of the materially poor and vulnerable. These gifts will be divided between 2 ministries: World Relief and Olive Branch Outreach. The World Relief gift will serve to address the crippling poverty faced by the migrant farming communities of Turkana, Kenya, where an ongoing drought has produced life-threatening realities for many families. The Olive Branch Outreach portion of the gift will serve to bolster the efforts of the Kohl family as they lead a Safe House Ministry for exploited women in the Middle East. For more information on these efforts, contact Benji.

Community Connect Tip
Use SBCC’s Church App… to quickly make a gift, pay for a study guide, cover a youth event, pay small group or event registration fees, respond immediately to Special Offering for the Poor, and more! From the SBCC app home screen, click “Give.” If you have not used the link before, there is some one-time set up, but every gift after that will take about 3 seconds. Amazing! (To download SBCC’s app, click on the link from Community Connect’s homepage for directions or search the Apple Store or Google Play.)
