Praxis – Mar. 24th: On March 10, we will begin a new series called A Man and His Story, using the 33 Video series we used in the fall. Come join us in the Upper Room at 6:15am for coffee and food. 6:30 we begin. 7:45 we are on our way.

Tenebrae Service – Apr. 14th: Remembering the Passion and Death of Jesus on Friday, April 14th, 7pm at Living Faith Center, 4597 Hollister Avenue. Families welcome. Childcare not provided. 40 Days for Life – Mar. 1st – Apr. 9th: From March 1 through April 9, you’re invited to join other Christians for 40 Days for Life – 40 days of prayer and fasting for an end to abortion. You’re also invited to stand and peacefully pray during a 40-day vigil outside of Planned Parenthood on Garden Street. Royal Family Kids Camp Needs Your Help! Informational Dessert – Apr. 4th: We provide a one week overnight camp free of charge for kids ages 7-12 in the Santa Barbara foster system who have been abused, abandoned and neglected. We are currently recruiting volunteer staff for our camp June 25-30th, 2017. Come be the church to the “least of these” as we care for the orphan in our community. Empowered to Connect Simulcast – April 7th-8th: SBCC will be hosting this two-day simulcast for parents. Based upon the research and expertise of Dr. Karyn Purvis, ETC will equip parents to better connect with children whose lives have been touched by trauma. Applicable to all parents, this info is particularly pertinent to foster and adoptive parents. The cost for the two-day simulcast is $30/individual or $45/couple. An Evening with David Garrison – April 7th, 7pm: On Friday, April 7, we are privileged to have the opportunity to hear from David Garrison, author of A Wind in the House of Islam: How God is Drawing Muslims Around the World to Faith in Jesus Christ. Dr. Garrison will speak on Muslim movements to Christ overseas as well as how God is continuing to turn the hearts of Muslims to Christ through Global Gates, a new effort focused on reaching unreached peoples in major gateway cities in the United States. Plan on taking part in this exciting and hopeful evening.
Annual Church Retreat – April 28th-30th: “Unmasked!” – Join the fun of Church Retreat 2017 as we undertake an epic adventure into the world of superheroes to explore our identity and calling as the people of God! Foundations Class – May 7th: If you are new to SBCC and looking to know what SBCC believes, how and why we practice church life, this class is for you! The Foundations class is an entry point to church life and membership at SBCC. Choose to attend one 2 1/2-hour session on Sunday, March 5th or Sunday, May 7th from 12:45-3:15pm.
