Summer College Group – Jul. 27th: College students, you won’t want to miss a single week of the fun of summer college group! Whether you’re staying in SB this summer, home from elsewhere for the summer, or enjoying your first post-High School days, plan to be at the Bruneel home (197 Carlo Dr., Goleta) each Thursday evening at 7:30pm as we play, laugh, learn, and just enjoy the unique opportunities to be together that summer affords!
Young Adults: Let’s meet up at the Summer Seminars! We’ll go grab some dessert afterwards so we can talk about what we’ve heard.
Summer Praxis Series: This Wednesday night at 7pm we are finishing up the series called A Man and His Story. We will be having a taco dinner beforehand starting at 6:30. If you have not already RSVP’d for this and would like to come, contact David Jahr (*protected email*).
The Gathering…is a collection of women’s small groups meeting together to learn from God’s word, and share in each others’ lives. We meet Monday nights or Thursday mornings beginning the week of 9/11/2017. Childcare is available for a fee on Thursday mornings only. All of us face challenges: stress, illness, loss, damaged relationships. This Fall we are excited to be using 1 Peter: Discovering Encouragement in Troubling Times as our guide to the promises Jesus gives to comfort us, make sense of our struggles, and use them for His glory. Cost is $30 . To register go to http://sbcommunity.org/ministries/women/the-gathering/. ( Contact gro.y1500979757tinum1500979757mocbs1500979757@enna1500979757oj1500979757 for more information.)

An Evening With The Morrills – Jul. 24th: Kurt and Karyn of InterVarsity Christian Fellowship will be in the Fellowship Hall on Monday, July 24th from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. to share about their work with students in Strasbourg, France. Please RSVP to moc.o1500979757ohay@15009797579213n1500979757yrak1500979757 or (408) 345-5878.
Summer Seminar Series – Jul. 25th: This week’s topic is Human Trafficking… Did you know we have a significant human trafficking problem? Because we are situated in a tourist town, we attract sex traffickers; because we have agriculture in North County, we are prone to trafficking abuses among field workers; and because we have a large wealthy population, we frequently see trafficking among domestic workers. Adelle Rodkey will help us identify the problem and learn how to respond. Weekly seminars run on Tuesday nights at 7pm, with BYOE BBQ beforehand at 5:45. The goal is not primarily a “call to action,” but rather to seek growth in compassion for the city outside our church walls. Questions? Community Connect Tip
Add a New Family Member: Just got married? Had a new baby? While looking at your profile, from the right-hand sidebar menu, choose, the best option under “Family.” If the person you are adding already has a profile (like a new spouse or a grandparent) then choose “Add a Person from another Family.” You can make profile updates to reflect name changes, if needed, under “Edit family profile”. If you have a new baby, you will have to create a new profile for them when you add them. Choose “Create a new family member” to do this. Ask Deana if you have questions at gro.y1500979757tinum1500979757mocbs1500979757@anae1500979757d1500979757.
