A Day of “Extraordinary Prayer” – Jun. 3rd: Come join us on Saturday, June 3rd for another day of extraordinary prayer, as we anticipate Pentecost Sunday on June 4th. We will be led in one-hour shifts from 6AM to 6PM (last hour is 5-6PM), as we pray for the fullness of God in the church, and the expansion of His church into the world. We will be asking God for a fresh outpouring of His Holy Spirit in our church, among the churches of Santa Barbara, and around our nation and the world. Come pray for one hour starting on the hour, as we persevere in this ministry of prayer together! The 10-11 AM hour will be “family friendly,” and geared toward families with smaller children. Summer Seminar Series – Begins Jun. 20th: Seeking the Welfare of the City (from Jeremiah 29) is the title we’ve given this seminar series. Largely aimed at examining the “sub-communities” within our larger community of Santa Barbara, we will be hearing from people who are invested and involved in caring for people in our city, including the addicted and homeless , the elderly and disabled, human trafficking survivors; our multi-racial/multi-ethnic community, and more… The seminars will run on Tuesday nights, beginning on 6/20 and concluding on 8/1, at 7pm, with BYOE bbq beforehand at 5:45. The objective of these evenings is not primarily a “call to action,” but rather to seek growth in compassion for the city outside our church walls. Watch for further announcements regarding specific dates for specific topics. Questions? Contact Bonnie Fearer, gro.y1495585482tinum1495585482mocbs1495585482@einn1495585482ob1495585482

Community Connect Tip
Add a Picture to Your Profile. Why? Because Community Connect is now our online church photo directory! It’s very helpful to be able to match a name to a face and to be reminded of who your new friend is. Did you just meet someone named “Bill”? Search on “Bill” and see who comes up. If their photo is in there, you can then be reminded of their last name, and could even drop them a note to let them know you were glad to meet them. Now that is a connected and friendly church! So to all you “Bills” – and everyone else -add your picture to your profile because so far, all but one of the “Bills” are photo-less!
