WITHIN OUR CHURCH

Homegroup Worship Leaders - New homegroup song leaders are always needed to join a homegroup currently lacking a worship leader and would be responsible for planning and leading worship time for the homegroup. Contact Susi Lamoutte, homegroups@sbcommunity.org or 967-5673.

Compassion Ministry Needs: Freezer Meals -  We have ongoing needs for meals to provide for those who are dealing with illness or other family needs.  If you are able to provide a freezable meal, it is a huge blessing.  We would like all meals to be in “cookable” containers (that don’t need to be returned), labeled with the date and cooking instructions. Main dishes only please.  Meals can be placed in the freezer in the church kitchen (the back part of the Sanctuary building). Thank you!!

Powerpoint Technicians -  We often have need of  few more PowerPoint or ProPresenter operators to help run our Sunday worship and SPACE slide shows.  No previous experience necessary for this job; we will be glad to train anyone interested. Contact Deana Gilman, 687-7797 x11 or deana@sbcommunity.org if you are interested.

Gardening - Are you looking to serve in a tangible, practical way?  Work any day/time that is best for you to help maintain the grounds and gardens of our church campus. No experience needed, only a servant’s heart.  Contact Deana Gilman, deana@sbcommunity.org or 687-7797, for more information.

IN THE COMMUNITY

MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) -  Anyone interested in joining MOPS?  MOPS stands for Mother's Of Pre-Schoolers and invites women of all faiths and places in life to come and be supported by other mom's. Pick up a registration form in the back at church and mail it in as soon as possible!  If you have any questions, please contact Krista Knoles 683-1833 or Jenn Clark 967-3070.  Also, if anyone is interested in helping Goleta MOPS, we are in need of "Aunties" to come and hold babies or teach pre-schoolers every other Friday!  This is a great opportunity to serve mothers during busy times in their lives AND to be with cute kids!

Life Network - Life Network (Network Medical) is a local non-profit that seeks to offer compassion, mercy and love of God be expressed to any women experiencing an unplanned pregnancy. Volunteers are always needed and welcomed. Areas of need include being a liaison for your church, helping organize a clothing closet, or being part of a poster team, to name a few opportunities. For more information on Life Network please visit www.lifenetworksb.org.

Free Ultrasound at Life Network
- Free ultra sound for women in their first trimester of pregnancy - Life Network is now operating as a medical clinic and can offer ultrasound to confirm pregnancy viability for our patients. To help us gain experience and maintain our training knowledge, we are seeking women to be models for us. We are especially desiring women who are 5 to 7 weeks pregnant, but will take up to 13 weeks pregnant. We will do this until we decide that we are too busy with patients.  Please call 967-9096 to schedule an appointment.

Goleta Homework Club
- We serve Old Town Goleta children through homework help and mentorship. Volunteer leaders are needed!  Please contact Krista Beard at 683-6805 if you are interested in becoming a mentor and/or for more information.

Westside Kids Club - We need leaders who love kids and can volunteer two or three times a month. We need people who can lead games, design crafts, organize snacks, lead worship and small groups, teach a bible story and pray for the ministry.
