WITHIN OUR CHURCH

Position Available at The Gathering -  We are looking for a supervisor for the children's program at the Thursday morning Gathering (women's Bible studies).  This ministry primarily involves coordination and oversight of childcare workers, as well as hands-on time with an absolutely adorable bunch of pre-K children.  The Gathering begins this Fall and runs through May.  Hours are 9am-12pm (hours with children are 9:30-11:30).  If you are interested, or have questions, please contact Bonnie Fearer, bonnie@sbcommunity.org.

Childcare Workers Needed at The Gathering -  We are always in need of more helping hands in caring for our wonderful children during The Gathering on Thursday mornings.  If you enjoy playing with children and would like to serve in this way, please contact Bonnie Fearer at bonnie@sbcommunity.org.

Homegroup Leader -  Have you ever considered becoming a homegroup leader? There is a need for additional homegroup leaders for Fall homegroups.  Leadership teams will be assembled during the summer. For more information, please contact Susi Lamoutte at 967-5673 or homegroups@sbcommunity.org.

Homegroup Worship Leaders - New homegroup song leaders are always needed to join a homegroup currently lacking a worship leader and would be responsible for planning and leading worship time for the homegroup. Contact Susi Lamoutte, homegroups@sbcommunity.org or 967-5673.

Library Volunteers Needed -  SBCC Library is looking for several more volunteers to be able to assist with checking books/visuals in and out and filling in some of the hours needed to remain open for all three services and some homeschooling hours during the week.  Contact Betty at 683-7476 or bettysullins@juno.com.

Bibles -  More Bibles are needed in the library to give out to people asking for them.  Please survey your home bookshelves and consider bringing us some.  Thanks!

Compassion Ministry Needs: Freezer Meals -  We have ongoing needs for meals to provide for those who are dealing with illness or other family needs.  If you are able to provide a freezable meal, it is a huge blessing.  We would like all meals to be in “cookable” containers (that don’t need to be returned), labeled with the date and cooking instructions. Main dishes only please.  Meals can be placed in the freezer in the church kitchen (the back part of the Sanctuary building). Thank you!!

ProPresenter Technicians -  We often have need of  few more ProPresenter operators to help run our projected Sunday worship sets.  No previous experience necessary for this job; we will be glad to train anyone interested. Contact Deana Gilman, 687-7797 x11 or deana@sbcommunity.org if you are interested.

Gardening - Are you looking to serve in a tangible, practical way?  Work any day/time that is best for you to help maintain the grounds and gardens of our church campus. No experience needed, only a servant’s heart.  Contact Deana Gilman, deana@sbcommunity.org or 687-7797, for more information.

All Church BBQs and Breakfasts - Do you enjoy helping set up events, barbequing for large crowds, flipping pancakes or lending a hand at clean-up time?  Do you like to help coordinate get-togethers?  From time to time our church body gathers for a meal and would love your help!  Contact Bonnie Fearer to get involved!  Our next All-Church BBQ will be on May 16th, 2010.
